JOB DESCRIPTION
Restore and repair historic, artistic and valuable photographic film negatives and glass plates using the following techniques: (1) archival duplication of original photographic negatives; (2) stripping, duplication, and reconstruction of deteriorated di-acetate film negatives; (3) archival black and white copy negatives and color-corrected transparencies of historic lantern slides and autochrome plates; and (4) exhibition quality printing from original negatives in a variety of vintage and contemporary printing media. Works under close supervision with specific instruction from Director.Work is closely monitored and reviewed. Bachelors Degree in Photograph Conservation/Preservation plus three (3) months of experience in the job offered or six (6) months of experience in a related job as long as experience was in Photograph Conservation/Preservation. Full-Time.
